We are in support of the Madison Park neighborhood reassignment to Alexander Graham Middle/Myers Park HS. We ask that the board consider INCLUDING the ENTIRE Madison Park neighborhood in the proposal; there are approximately 250 Madison Park homes south-of-Tyvola that are not currently included (i.e., Farmbrook Dr., Valley Forge, Seacroft, Fairbanks, Faircrest, Wedgewood, and Londonderry). This request is consistent with Guiding Principle for Student Assignment, I.A.1.c., “Keeping entire neighborhoods assigned to the same school.” Our identity in the community and sense of belonging as homeowners has included being part of the Madison Park neighborhood for years, whether we live north or south of Tyvola. We agree that it is vital that we keep our neighborhood and community together. Thank you for your consideration and we appreciate your hard work.

I really thought this might just float around in the void but seeing the response grow has been honestly surreal (my laptop has not stopped dinging since this morning). It is just so clear that keeping Madison Park together is not some niche request but something we all feel in our gut. I am going to breathe for a second then figure out how to get this in front of the board because keeping us divided is just nonsense.

The children in Madison Park need to go to the schools nearest the the community, not to a high school such as Harding that is miles away. Our family knows of the hardship that caused when our child was sent to Harding.

I am a teacher and a proud community member of Madison Park on Fairbanks Road for 10 years. Please consider allowing the 250 Madison Park homes south of Tyvola to be a part of the feeder pattern of Myers Park/AG and the Pinewood attendance zone. Allowing such a Grandfather clause would let the entire community of Madison Park remain strong and vibrant together with their families and throughout their education. Thank you for your consideration.

The rationale given for moving from Harding to Myers Park High is to decrease the "home to school distance"; however, the homes within Madison Park neighborhood that are farther south are still slated to remain in Harding. I would urge the board to stay true to their own rationale.

Madison Park, regardless of which side of the road one lives on, has always been a cohesive neighborhood and a strong community. Please consider the entirety of the Madison Park neighborhood together in the reassignment plan, including the families to the South of Tyvola Road. As a lifelong Madison Park resident, parent of a teenager, and a registered voter, thank you for your consideration.

Please keep the Madison Park neighborhood united for school assignment boundaries. This request is consistent with Guiding Principle for Student Assignment, I.A.1.c., “Keeping entire neighborhoods assigned to the same school.” I respectfully ask CMS to stand by their guiding principals and keep our neighborhood united. This will benefit CMS and the Madison Park neighborhood.

Madison Park is a wonderful neighborhood, we have lived here since 2002. The only thing that could make it better is that the kids who live here could go to the same school closest to our neighborhood through high school. Please consider including the other 250 homes south of Tyvola in the new assignment.

Madison Park Students should all be assigned to the same schools. I encouraged those working on the boundary issue to not leave our side out when this new push came up in 2013/2014 to have our schools reassigned. Jarret Hunt our former board member in 2011 and 2012 was requested to do the same thing when he worked on the school assignments as a board member of Madison Park. The NSA is one and so should the school assignments. I would recommend all the area in the NSA be assigned to the new school choices.

Please keep our kids together in the same schools. It's important to ensuring our neighborhood is a true neighborhood.
