Every year 500 Israeli teens are waiting anxiously for the month of February. Not because valentines day is coming up but the fact that 18 Israeli shvatim around America get to come together for 5 days and experience a weekend of a lifetime. Sophomores are eagerly waiting to attend their first machane, while juniors are waiting to re-experience the fun they had the previous year. Seniors are counting down the days to the fact that this will be the last weekend they get to goodbye to all the people they got so close to. This year, thanks to a winter storm, almost half of the shvatim got their flight canceled the day of the machane. We would like the event we waited for. The event we counted down each day until we could be reunited with now our extended family. The event 500 kids were talking about non stop to their parents and social media as the week of came by.Seniors want to be able to say goodbye the right way to the people theyve met. While the rest would just like to have the event we were promised.
