I was never formally notified that I my house is now apart of the city of Mableton even though my address is Austell. I did not vote for this and I know it's going to be all about money! I also heard that know the Cobb County police department and city of Mableton can't come to an agreement! This is crazy!!! Mableton was just fine under Cobb County and I vote for the city of Mableton to be removed and we go back to Cobb County!

My family & I were never told about the redrawing of the map until AFTER the Election in November 2022.
There were no emails, phone calls, texts, nothing letting us know our area was now in the proposed limits.
The wording on the ballot was vague. A lot of people I have heard from just though, "Mableton is already it's own little area, so let they can become a city if they want". We weren't aware the lines had been COMPLETELY redrawn.
I had to find out from people that aren't even in the proposed area!

I have NO desire to become part of Mableton City. I live in unincorporated Marietta off of Mulkey Road. It's disgraceful how this has been handled. I has never informed nor given the opportunity to vote on this issue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm voting "No" and the points presented in this meeting was from outdated data pre pandemic and more studies need to be conducted. The studies are from 2018. I am wondering who do they have lined up for leadership in Mableton. Nope, I don't trust this at all.

During this time of financial stress on many people, creating a city to add additional taxes to residents is unnecessary , unfair and will cause more stress to us residents that don't need an additional tax bill and higher taxes. So Cobb Alliance has not provided plans to support the services needed for cityhood, I will vote no!!!

I feel May is way too early for a vote on cityhood--not enough time for those affected to be educated on the complex details involved. I have a Smyrna (unincorporated) address, and my voting precinct (Birney 2) has been included on the edge of the proposed city limits--not sure why. I strongly oppose being annexed into a city of Mableton.

After reading the feasibility study, I believe we would be in really good shape without any new taxes. The map includes a good number of corporate and industry to help provide revenue as well as new business lic when we can make our own rules for "revitalizing" existing properties that the county cannot do. I have lived here dependent on the county to "get around" to us for way too long. It would be nice to take our destiny into our own hands and I believe we have the right to vote on this for ourselves as a community.

I'd like to see the benefits of incorporation versus remaining unincorporated (i.e., pros and cons of either). It sounds exciting, but the question comes to mind, is it really necessary?
