We are petitioning to build a crematory on-site at Lux Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC., at 1254 Business 35 N., New Braunfels, TX. New Braunfels does not currently have a crematory- forcing us to transport your loved ones out of our care- as far away as San Antonio. Having an on-site crematory would enable Lux Funeral Home to better serve families in our community, keeping your loved ones in our care throughout the process. Although we are facing minimal opposition, we do not feel this addition would affect property value, or customers for the neighboring businesses. It would, in fact, generate revenue in New Braunfels, allowing us to keep down costs for families in need of our services. The crematory will be housed in a facility and is designed to meet all EPA regulations and standards. State environmental agencies are responsible for regulating crematories and have established stringent design, operation and performance standards to ensure the protection of the environment. We intend to go above and beyond to meet all requirements and regulations in an effort to better our community!

David Lux and his staff were a wonderful support group for my family when we lost our Mother 14 months ago. Mr. Lux arrived at the nursing home in the middle of the night ready to gently and respectfully move our Mother to Lux's funeral home. As is every family, we were ready to set a date for services but had to wait on the San Antonio Crematory to return our Mother's remains. I believe that Mr. Lux and his staff would build a suitable and state compliant facility that would not be an intrusion on the city of New Braunfels. I do not feel that this would have any adverse affect on the neighboring businesses.
Please allow this. My mother and father had to go all the way to San Antonio. This would be a wonderful asset to New Braunfels and their loved ones.
Lux is most certainly a Great asset to the community of New Braunfels. They took great care with my Mom, however with a crematorium at their facility the hassle if transfer and wait could be eliminated.
Supporting Lux in their effort to provide local crematory for clients. They are a responsible and caring company in my experience. They handled both my parents' cremations. And they will handle mine as well.
I wish there had been one here a year ago when my husband passed l didn't like that he had to be sent to SA.
Really would like to be in the New Braunfels Community.

As a New Braunfels resident, residing inside the city limits, I support the crematory build. I feel this is a much needed service, as our community continues to grow.
