Luis Acosta is the heartbeat of Garden Ridge! Whoever has made the decision to NOT hire this man as the principal has not completely researched who is BEST for this position. Evidently they are far removed from the heartbeat of Garden Ridge Elementary. Talk to any student, ex-student or parent that has gone or been involved with Garden Ridge and they can tell you who is right. That is because Mr. Acosta is the HEART of this school...and without the heart the blood can not supply the life to all the other organs and cells! I am sure that GRE will continue to function with a new heart, BUT any heart surgeon will tell you a transplant takes a life time of recovery and is NEVER the same! They will also tell you that heart transplants ONLY happen if it is a life or death situation. They NEVER take out a perfectly good heart to transplant another...NEVER!

Luis Acosta is very friendly and would love to have him as principal at Garden Ridge Elementary. Appreciate all his support over the years and it would be great if he could you considered again for this position if at all possible.

I cant imagine a better person for the Job as Mr. Acosta. I have never seen somebody more engaged with the students (and Parents) he has made a huge difference in my children's lives.

Mr. Acotsa is an asset to Garden Ridge Elementary. My kindergarten son RAVES about him. He has gone out of his way to make new parents and students feel at home. Please reconsider as Mr. Acotsa IS the right Principal for GRE!

When I think of GRE, I think of Mr Acosta...they are synonymous. Mr Acosta is a kind, compassionate leader who deserves the promotion for his hard work and dedication to the children, teachers, and school district over the years. GRE would not be the wonderful school that it is without Mr Acosta. I truly feel that my daughter had a better educational experience because of him and are extremely grateful.

I have had 3 children at GRE over the past 9 years with one still in 4th grade at GRE. All of my children are personally known by Mr. Acosta, even to this day he still recognizes and greets our oldest (Freshman at FM9) by name when we see him. Mr. Acosta is an excellent leader and model for our young students and truly the heart and soul of GRE. He makes a concerted effort to get to know each child at Garden Ridge in and out of school; he knows their families and their outside activities including their team names. Mr. Acosta genuinely loves and cares for the students and families at Garden Ridge and I promise you that my children felt and still feel the care and concern that he has. it would be a great loss for this community not to have Mr. Acosta as the Principle of Garden Ridge Elementary. I think Mr. Acosta would be an outstanding principle for GRE and I sincerely request that you reconsider Mr. Acosta for this most vital role in our community and the lives of our children.

I couldn't think of a more perfect person to fill the role of principal at Garden Ridge Elementary than Mr. Acosta. His current loyalty, commitment, and success at Garden Ridge Rlementary indicates that he would be the best candidate to transition from Assistant Principal to Principal. I would love to know that the parents, fellow teachers, and fellow staff voices are being heard and considered as the Board and LISD administration makes this critical decision that affects the entire Garden Ridge Elementary community and primarily and most importantly, the students.

He IS the heart of Garden Ridge. He makes EVERY student feel at home. He communicates very well and keeps everyone informed. We can't imagine why anyone but Mr. Acosta would be selected for position of principal. Thank you.
