Physical education should not be mandatory for students in the Lee's Summit R-7 high schools if they play two seasons of a school sport, as this could compromise their training.

P.E. can still be taken as an elective for these students, but it would not be required.

Clarification: Two seasons of a sport could mean the same sport two different years (ex: volleyball your 9th and 10th grade year), or two different sports either in the same year (ex: football and tennis in your 10th grade year) or separate years (ex: cross country- 9th and tennis-11th) These sports can take place any year of high school, from grades 9-12.
