Physical education should not be mandatory for students in the Lee's Summit R-7 high schools if they play two seasons of a school sport, as this could compromise their training.
P.E. can still be taken as an elective for these students, but it would not be required.
Clarification: Two seasons of a sport could mean the same sport two different years (ex: volleyball your 9th and 10th grade year), or two different sports either in the same year (ex: football and tennis in your 10th grade year) or separate years (ex: cross country- 9th and tennis-11th) These sports can take place any year of high school, from grades 9-12.

Have to take unnecessary classes that take time out of schedule. Had to drop my language to take gym.
Varsity sports are way more intense than a standard gym class anyway. It makes no sense to waste a block on it when I could be taking AP classes for college.
my schedule is packed tight with band and honors classes. i literally dont have any room for a gym credit especially when im at practice every single afternoon.
Kinda tired of having to choose between orchestra and PE. Just let us earn the credit through our sports seasons.
THIS IS SO NEEDED. I want to take more electives but the graduation requirements keep getting in the way.

I totally agree Im a student athlete who really doesnt have time during the summer because K need to take take other classes plus i take 8 credits during the school year and i have to drop classes that I dont want to drop because of P.E. i take medical classes,choir classes, and orchestra classes plus a language
