This petition is for the students. For all of those who believe that an honors diploma would be more achievable/better/more reachable if the required credit amount was lowered from 12 credits to 10. This petition strives to do that. We urge students to sign this for your own benefit, and the benefit of your classmates.
The stories shared in the comments reveal how much pressure these credit requirements place on students already balancing a heavy load. These experiences show that our current system is failing to reward academic drive in a sustainable way.

Seeing this progress helps me realize that many of us share the same frustration regarding the current honors credit policy. This momentum confirms that our collective desire for a more balanced academic workload is truly universal across our student body.

Honors is a stressful thing man lol. I think this is a great topic and I can't wait to see if it works out to make things easier on honors students. Good luck!

Listening to other students talk about how their honors is going, it sounds like the program is building more stress than it is good habits.

I agree, it is absolutely ridiculous that they expect growing, hormonal teenagers to handle extra homework as it is but asking us to do an extra project that's size varies from teacher to teacher is outrageous.
