The scale of this response has secured a formal meeting with the district athletic director. I am currently preparing the technical specifications for rim height adjustments to present during our discussion.

My son is in 2nd grade and he gets so frustrated because he cant reach the hoop. his form is getting ruined because he has to heave the ball up there. let them play on lower rims so they can actually enjoy the sport.
way overdue. kids need to learn to shoot properly not just throw it.
Learning proper form is far more important than rushing them to 10 foot rims.

I have an 8 year old son who loves the game — but moving the rim to 10ft and increasing the ball size for a kid his age and for others — it’s not right. If we are talking about kids learning the fundamentals and improving their skill — moving the rim height — isn’t the answer. Kids will always develop — but instead of learning proper shooting mechanics — this makes a jump shot a heave — please make this change and make it right — for our kids — our community — and the game.
