We support the campaign by Julian Knight - local NHS campaigner and candidate for Solihull MP - and are calling on the Heart of England trust to introduce discounts for those over 65 parking at both Solihull and Heartlands hospital sites.
The current charges are far too high and although we appreciate that we need to deter shoppers for using the hospital car park we believe that some sort of claim back scheme for local pensioners who park at the hospital to attend an appointment or visit a relative should be introduced.
