Local support for Rising Sun parkrun
Final supporters
Rising Sun parkrun will add to the growing pool of North East parkruns and provide another location at which to enjoy a free, weekly, timed, 5km run each Saturday morning at 9am.
Our aim is to increase running participation within the region :)

The local council is dragging their feet on this funding and we need to shove this number over the 250 mark immediately to show them we aren't going away. Post this link on your social media right now and stop letting them ignore our community demand for this parkrun.

Would be great to have another option other than Newcastle park run which is reasonably close to home.
This would have great community and health benefits for those in the Wallsend area.
expecting a flat course and that man y on Wallsend will treat it as their 'home' course instead of Whitley Bay or Newcastle.
This will be a perfect venue for Parkrun, and will cut down on my carbon footprint having to travel to Whitley Bay or Newcastle to participate.
I live just down the road and this would be perfect I already rutinely run in the rising sun and it would be nice to have some company
Cannot wait for patkrun in my home town! I will be there every Saturday!
This should be free and no charge should be made by the council

A second parkrun for north tyneside is desperately needed. Rusing sun is the ideal location with good public transport links and cyclong networks making it an eco-friendly venue.
