I support my colleagues and union - flexible scheduling as needed with the focus on staff in-person when their students are.

I believe Sandy's decision to have staff report during Hybrid instruction Mondays through Thursdays is poor leadership.
A different approach such as a rotating system of reporting with selected classrooms or programs would meet the need of having people available to meet student's needs while limiting the number of people on site.

I stand with my Union members! I truly want to do our best for students, and keep safe; especially with real health concerns for our staff and families!

All will be fine,.. I am hopeful for the best,..equitable, and safest outcome for students and staff—while retaining member district!
I am in total support for my fellow workers to be assured the same safety guidelines as is being given to any students we serve. If areas are questionable for their safety they need to be addressed before any of them go into an “unsafe”
situation.

We deserve to have our voice be heard and validated. We also deserve sick leave especially around covid and testing that don’t compromise our regular sick leave. We deserve the option to teach from home if we are symptomatic without draining our sick bank or retaliation.

I agree there's nothing like working with our students and giving them what they need, but not at the risk of someone possibly getting sick or a life of death situation.

The most glaring example of the danger of COVID-19 has now hit home. POTUS! This thing is not guess work, it is reality. I don’t feel safe going back to in person learning come October 12th.

Lack of taking every protocol that can protect staff and students during this time is frustrating. Not taking actions that other member districts are doing such as tempature checks and making masks an expectation make me uncomfortable. I love my job and I am excited to be back with students but I don't want to find us regretting rushing forward while not taking every precaution. We can teach students without sacrificing safety.

The district has shown a blatant disregard for staff concerns when it comes to safely returning to school. They've announced a move to full in-person learning before we've even finished the first week of hybrid, and before we've even gotten the necessary data from the MDH to go on. I'm taking a stand to do whatever is necessary to ensure our safety is part of the equation.

I just think that the purpose for hybrid is to decrease the spread of COVID-19, but it doesn't hold, if all staff are there together.

There isn’t enough space to be distanced at school as Itinerant staff.

To quote from CDC.Gov: Guiding Principles to Keep in Mind: "The risk for COVID-19 spread rises with increased close contact with others. The more people who teachers and staff interact with, and the longer those interactions last, the higher the risk of COVID-19 spread." Keep students and staff safe.
