The school board finally folded and confirmed our kids will wear their caps and gowns. This victory proves the administration cannot ignore us when we refuse to back down. Keep watching them because these students earned every bit of this recognition.

It has come to the attention of parents that when the first graduating class of LMS graduates they will not be wearing a cap and gown. These kids have moved to 5 different schools in 8 years and endured one of the most difficult and unusual times in education throughout the 2020-2021 pandemic. They should be able to wear a cap and gown and receive their diplomas with pride as the first graduating class of LMS.

The school administration remains completely silent on this issue while our students continue to suffer from these arbitrary and heartless decisions. I am tired of seeing them treat our children like an afterthought so I am taking this fight directly to the district office next.

These kids have been through enough. It’s a disgrace to try take this right of passage away from them. Especially with so much distinction this year.

These kids need some semblance of normalcy, stop taking the away milestones. Allow the kids to take the step forward, move the tassel over and be proud that they made it through all the crazy changes this town had put them through for 8 years.

Can we please stop trying to cancel history and traditions. Caps & Gowns represent an achievement that has been a part of American history for decades and should be continued. Keep the Tradition.!!!

It’s a big milestone for these kids that have been denied their regular schedules.

The kids have had so much to deal with between last year AND this year. Caps and gowns are a trademark of a graduation and the children should be able to wear them. Thank you for creating this. Parents should certainly stick together and support our kids.
