The new cell phone policy is unnecessary, some aspects of it I understand but some it is just unnecessary. The punishments are too harsh, kids are going to naturally have their phone out and not even realize it, it's part of our generation, it's something we naturally do. If you get caught with your phone out 4 times the rest of the year your phone has to go to the office everyday, that is too harsh of a punishment. Also we can't have headphones on in the hallways, that is some people's escape to get away from the stress of school and taking that away could be really hard for some people. We just want the school to understand how this new cell phone policy will probably not work out.
I think this is too far, i'm sorry that this is just what we are use to, It's crazy that we can't even walk through the halls with earbuds during PASSING time, like we aren't bothering anyone. We need to be able to relax, music helps. This is silly. Listening to music is a coping skill, it DOES help. Yeah, phones can be distracting a times, the teachers taking them and giving them back after class is PERFECTLY FINE. Compared to this, i'd rather just get my phone back after class. I don't think this is ok, and that's just my opinion
