I live near a local pub who also play live music outside and I accept that and enjoy it! Local talent has come from playing at the ship and have made it in the music industry! Without them having the chance to play they may never would have formed!

It would be such a shame as the gardens at The Ship lend themselves so well to outside music with such alot of open space around also the music didn't seem too loud as the duo was in a small markee which help with the sound levels...also it's clearly a very very popular place...here's hoping the music can stay...

The ship inn are supporting local acts which should be encouraged. Live music has taken place at the venue for over 14 years and only recently residents have complained.

Charlie & Lou show nothing but respect for there neighbours & should be allowed to continue with live music events. The pub brings tourists to sewerby & they Are always raising money for the community.

Live music brings happiness to a lot of people particularly after lockdown with pubs suffering financially and live gigs being pulled. Please keep doing what you are doing The Ship Inn it's needed xx

This is outrageous a few spiteful people who enjoyed many a weekend in this beer garden listening to and enjoying the live music now decide they don't like it.its a few hours over a weekend people petty spiteful vindictive behaviour should not be rewarded by the council. Double standards sewerby hall owned by the council can make as much noise with there live events as they like .if people don't like a bit of joyous noise don't move next to property's that have events it's ridiculous your trying to kill the village pub who served the community through COVID it's disgraceful

Keep live music going - Especially in pups and clubs otherwise it will die. Don't let the residents win for the sake of maybe a couple of hours of live music - They don't have to listen to it if they don't want to!

If the decision to serve notice goes ahead, it needs to be carefully considered as daytime and acoustic (unplugged) music is less of a disturbance than nighttime, amplified, bass heavy music. Please review times and type of music in the recordings and be reasonable, as businesses have a right to trade reasonably. (an appeal may lead to adjustments for this in the abatement notice anyway! May as well get it right now)

I support the live music, it is a shame that it is having to stop.

the live music is low key and not very loud..it's usually a bit of chill out acoustic music. this has enhanced sewerby and it is bringing more tourism to the area.

I could understand it if it was a rock concert playing until the early hours of the morning, but it jut a bit of live music until a reasonable hour helping young bands make a name and earn a crust, shame on the council

I find it very sad that several households in the area object to music whilst the nucleus don’t. Kathy and I Have only been in the area thee years and have thoroughly enjoyed our Sundays with you now we can’t due to some very sad individuals. Many thanks to you and all the excellent staff. Phil.

All the money Charlie has raised for charity. To be treated like this is absurd.
