Disgraceful, selfish behaviour by those residents who, as Charlie says, once enjoyed the live music themselves. You people are pathetic and wrapped up in your own importance.

I live in Sewerby albeit new to the village, have never heard anything. Music is magical for many people. Play on I say!

If you move next to a pub you should expect noise.

The Ship in Sewerby is a great community venue and personally I have never found the volume of the live music to be anywhere near excessive. I genuinely hope music is able to return back to the venue as soon as possible as it does creat a nice ambiance when visiting this establishment

So sorry this is happening Lou and Charlie. You would think after all that you and other businesses like you have been through these last couple of years, they could support you. Selfish people!

I think this is a travesty of justice. I personally have started to go to the Ship Inn and listen to the live music which I have found to be at a very acceptable noise level where you can also have a conversation and not have to shout. At the moment times are difficult especially in the hospitality sector and for a business to show significant investment only to be told they cannot use it to its fullest because of a few people having an issue with live music. This is a great pub and it needs to be supported and allowed to continue with live music and not have to struggle to make ends meet. Post covid the hospitality sector needs everyone's help and not to be forced to close as a result of a couple of people which is what could ultimately happen here!

We have loved coming to the ship inn as a family to enjoy the live music and considering the pub has been there longer than the houses I think this is a disgrace . I only hope this is detrimental to The Ship Inn .
