This is a wonderful haven of lovely food good music and wonderful caring staff, the music is in moderation and cheers everyone up and in turn you feel you have been somewhere special. I cannot see the problem let it be.

This is outrageous and totally uncalled for. The owners are obviously trying to act accordingly. Surely the council and the surrounding residents should be helping keep businesses afloat not knocking then down.

We’ve frequented this establishment on many occasions and have enjoyed the live music they provide. It’s a shame that they are having to suspend the music due to complaints of a few. I hope they council see sense and see what enjoyment it brings to a larger group of people how are being money into the area with their tourism

Those Sunday afternoon sessions brought so much joy to families, where children and dogs were always welcome. and will be sadly missed. We've been blessed with some great local musicians. A sad day indeed.

Charlie and Lou have supported live music for many years. I started and hosted the popular Thursday evening acoustic club for many years which went on to encourage Charlie and Lou to develop the summer Sunday afternoon sessions. The arts generally and musicians in particular are struggling. Venues are being lost at an alarming rate. Surely a compromise can be reached? I accept that some bands can and sometimes do play at levels that may be unacceptable to some people but I’m sure that Charlie and Lou are more than willing to request that volumes are kept down. Many of the artists that regularly play at The Ship use minimal amplification and cannot possibly be classed as unreasonably loud. Please be reasonable about this and work to find a compromise.
