The proliferation of live music is important. And if it helps to diversify the attractions available to tourists, then it will help the local community in the longrun.

Music is not offensive at this time of the day and following COVID the hospitality industry needs all the help it can get!

This is not too far from where we live, and music is no louder than any other pub in the area

It's during the day and not hurting anyone. The pub was there before the houses and when buying you are aware there is a pub

Live music only takes place for a very few hours at a time and is normally on occasional evenings, not all the time. In addition, as the Ship Inn already point out, it's not a recent occurance, it's been happening for 14 years, but this is 1st time it has been brought to the council's attention. I believe with some discussion and maybe compromise both sides, this should be fairly resolved for all parties, including the frequenters and entertainers of the live music sessions who would otherwise be losing a great and we'll established venue.

We are turning into a country where people can't do or say anything because people don't like it or are offended.

The live music events generally take place on weekend afternoons when local residents are up and about not when people are likely to be in bed. They have taken place for many years now so why have they suddenly become a problem?
Keep music at the Ship Inn
