There's been live music outside here for years, usually7 solo acoustic artists. Always a friendly and good-natured crowd. This abatement order is ridiculous.

Lived on Windsor crescent Bridlington for eleven years. Always paid council tax yet the council allowed the area to become so run down I was forced out and the values of properties plummeted. The Ship Inn Sewerby is a jewel in the crown of the beautiful area that is sewerby and the music events bring people from miles around to enjoy the lovely surroundings . Local people support the ship Inn and every event is enjoyed by all...please please Council let us keep our wonderful live music for everyone to enjoy.

This is awful for you. I really hope you can get live music back again. You’ve worked so hard to create a beautiful garden and business.

So many local business’ have struggled after covid and the Ship Inn have made such a big effort during and after this difficult time keeping the business going and providing jobs for local people and now to be spoilt by a group of small minded people - shame on you!

It is important for locals and tourists that we support venues that try and offer a range of entertainment

It's such a shame this is happening I live in Scotland I come down here on holiday and to be honest it's a perfect disgrace that this is happening to these nice people.

My advice to the complainants would be to buy some earplugs, I'll even buy some for them. Pubs in the Bridlington area are well known for supporting live bands, up-and-coming young musicians, and amateurs like myself.

After the last couple of years and all the doom and gloom about the cost of living and fuel prices surely people should be allowed to enjoy themselves without petty moaning !

I live in sewerby just across the road from the moaners I don't have any problems the music just one rallying up the rest in my opinion the pub has been there longer than the bungalows and the music also get a life

Keep doing all you can to alleviate the disturbance to your neighbours but don’t let them stop you doing what you have every right to do

Appalling that a few newbie residents can impact a long established music venue. This is completely wrong

Please reconsider the application to stop live music outdoors at the Sun Inn Sewerby. Its always been a great live music venue & surely if hours are restricted (not late) hopefully can still go ahead.

People who buy houses next/near to a pub to then complain about the pub are plain wrong.

As if live music venues and musicians haven't suffered enough throughout the lockdown period. It's not as though this venue puts on heavy metal bands playing late at night!

This is a vibrant and successful business which is a credit to the community it serves. Encouraging both young and established music artists, bringing diversity and enjoyment to all those who partake. The events are only a few hours over the weekend and you would expect nothing less living near a village pub. I hope that common sense prevails and The Ship is able to continue, as it has for decades. Our pubs are precious and we are lucky this one has weathered the storm of the last two years. They deserve to be supported as do their landlords.

Live music plays a part in everyone’s life at some point. I’m so disappointed to see such hate against enjoyment that benefits so many around them, from the artists performing to the child watching. After what has been the hardest 24 months ever I really hope common sense prevails.
