What we love about our county is its rural character and this plan sends a mixed message on that goal. Eco-tourism should be our primary focus, and this comes from preserving the quality of life which I do not think this plan addresses properly.

Sometimes the most advantageous "development plan" is stopping to truly recognize and nurture what's already right here. Orange is uniquely beautiful largely because it has so far NOT been developed into just more cookie cutter suburbia. Development planning must never underestimate the vital importance of protecting healthy soil, clean air and water, and nurturing local community support.
