Please do NOT follow the map for A-2 which includes forestal, farming land and the Preddy Creek Trails Park land. Yes, Steve Birchel, developer of Preddy Creek Subdivision, has a beautiful big parcel in this area but why should HE make even more big bucks at the expense of the water table and natural resources, as well as neighbors like me who value woods and farms?

The Board must invite a more diverse set of participant to broaden the input of Orange County citizens to design a Comprehensive Plan that represents the interests of a broader base of county residents.

PLEASE listen to us. We are the citizens of Orange County who live here and love it. This plan is NOT what we want.
So far the county has not proven they can manage the current comprehensive plan. I would not consider expanding it until we get some responsible leadership, that listens to what the majority of the county desires.

We moved away from the city to get away from the noise, congestion and the crowd. We chose OC because of its zoning laws. We don’t want this to change nor do we want this Comprehensive plan.

The current plan is not great in many respects but this is sure not an improvement. It borders on a cynical effort. It calls for developemtn as fast as possible. The Board knows that it won't be very fast so they can offer some "maintain rural" words to mollify their critics. It is crystal cear that this Plan will not achieve the stated vision. The Plan should have a serious plausible set of goals and actions that will achieve the vison set forth. Major over haul is needed and The Board should not approve this proposed Plan but should take the ime to drafta Plan that will achieve the stated Vision.

It may be legal - but is it ethical - for a supervisor to vote on an issue that will enrich him? I don't think so

I moved here in 2001 to get away from traffic and congestion and the rudeness that always seems to accompany it. I like the fact that the hand gestures given my other motorists is a wave of the hand as opposed to you know what.

I also am against the revisions to the rural plan, I feel in the current world climate it is a time for consolidation and making the most of what we already have as opposed to pushing ahead with any further development of the landscape. Orange has such a wealth off history that honestly few counties in the whole of the United States can match!

There are a lot of people who come to (and praise) Orange precisely for it's rural environment. Don't make the mistake of assuming that "progress" is always a good thing!

I am a resident of Orange County and I oppose the proposed revisions to the Comprehensive Plan which will have a negative impact on the quality of our life. We are stewards of the land - Please listen to the many citizens of Orange who have spoken against the proposed revisions and hear our concerns.

I am against the revisions to the Comprehensive plan and expansive growth for Orange County that does not have the infrastructure to support. I support keeping growth to the original plan and maintaining the agricultural land and history and country side of Orange.
