PETITION (December 11TH 2008) WE THE UNDERSIGNED ELECTORS OF THE TOWN OF LINCOLN, DEMAND THE FOLLOWING: · COUNCIL IS PROHIBITED FROM ALLOCATING FURTHER TAXPAYERSâ

Updates

January 12, 2009

The people running this council think they can treat our tax dollars like a personal slush fund for Grimsby projects while our own town sits in decay. I have been relentless in demanding answers behind closed doors but the silence from our elected officials is deafening. They clearly plan to ignore us until we give up so we need to stay loud and keep up the pressure.

January 12, 2009

The momentum we have built proves the people of Lincoln are finally done subsidizing Grimsby's projects with our own tax dollars. Lincoln council members need to stop ignoring this outrage and realize that we will not let them throw our hard-earned money away on someone else's facilities.

This is ridiculous. My property taxes are high enough as it is without paying for Grimsbys gym.

Why are our taxes being sent to another town? We have enough stuff to fix right here in Lincoln. Keep the money local.

Our community center needs the funding way more than they do. Fix our own issues first please!

ABSOLUTELY NOT. Not one more cent should leave our town budget for a project that doesnt even help our residents.
