Hi Lincoln Park community residents! The county will be assessing whether our community needs speed bumps or other traffic calming measures to reduce non-resident traffic cutting through our neighborhood and speeding. While we are unsure whether this will be approved or where the exact location of speed bumps/other measures might be, please add your signature if you would like to support this initiative.

Seeing this kind of movement in our neighborhood fills me with relief because I know how dangerous these streets have become for our children. It is heartening to realize that so many of you share the same fear every time a car speeds past our front doors.

I am a resident of Lincoln Park. Just today, a minivan was speeding through the neighborhood and my family and I were walking in the street where there was no sidewalk. I know they saw us and our kids on bikes, and am very confused as to why they didn’t slow down! Speed bumps installed on Harnitha Lane and through the Lincoln park neighborhood would certainly slow down neighborhood and cut through traffic!

The area between pool and phase 1 mailboxes is a serious problem. We have had near misses and consistent speeding along with minimal stopping at stop sign. A speed bump at that location would allow Bishop way resident the abilities avoid if desired by using Rutherford entrance. We should be going 25 mph or less in our neighborhood so speed bumps should not be a problem for residents.

As a resident of the community, I feel that speed-bumps or humps would be beneficial to slow the traffic that flows through the neighborhood. I’ve witnessed numerous times cars going well above the speed limit.
