Volunteer Fire Departments are an essential part of our community. Our Proposal allows fire dues to be collected on property tax bills. The rate charged will be $35 per parcel with a structure. It doesn't matter how many structures. It could be 1 structure per parcel or 20 structures on a parcel. This would allow them to have a steadier, more reliable method of payment.

If the property owner has multiple properties with structures, discounts are available upon request.This also does not apply to residents inside the city limits of Gould, Grady, or Star City. Although that does not preclude city residents from signing the petition, and they are encouraged to do so.

These firefighters do this for no pay (with exception of municipalities who receive only $10 per call) to protect our property, family, and neighbors. When they are called, many times, lives are at stake. They put their lives in danger, donate their time and energy so that the community is a safer place to live, all for no pay. If you are a registered voter residing in Lincoln County, Arkansas please sign this petition so the $35 dues can be taken out through the property tax bills. This petition is not obligating you to pay, only to advocate for allowing the dues to be collected through the tax roll.
