We request the Alameda County Public Works agency install solar-powered push-button lighted crosswalks at Redwood Road at Lorena and Modesto. With two lanes of travel in either direction, the crossing are hazardous to those crossing the street. Multiple pedestrians have been hit in these crosswalks. Our children from the high school are particularly at risk since they frequently cross Redwood during school hours. This needs to happen before another school year goes by.
