Agree the lighting needs improving, it's very dark and can be intimidating

This looks extremely dangerous. My daughter will be going here and my peace of mind is shattered already, Please do the right thing and put extra lighting here and cameras with 24 hour surveillance. Thank you

As a parent who’s daughter is considering Salford University as an option next year this is a real concern. The safety of the area around the university is a huge factor in whether she chooses Salford or not.

Staff feel as vulnerable, and I personally go into Manchester and get a bus back out to my home rather than walk down Wallness Lane

I used to have to walk up and down this road every day for lectures and training, always having to look over my shoulder in case something or someone was creeping up on me

Perhaps the Students Union should show some support here to these students who obviously have a point and a legitimate complaint!

Students safety should be paramount! This area needs more lighting to support this!!

I always feel very unsure walking down wallness lane at night.

This is long overdue, especially with a number of Salford's sports teams having to travel this route for training every night of the week!

Student activism is few and far between at Salford. Well done.

Something needs to be done quickly, it is very dark and dangerous for students walking that route.
