Despite its small size, Lytton has a well-earned reputation as one of the “hottest” towns in the state of Iowa. Strong community support and involvement have made it possible for organizations like the Fire Department, American Legion, Emanuel-St. John’s Lutheran Church, Gala Days, Sac County Bandits, Sac County Cattlemen to thrive.
Now in its 48th year, RAGBRAI is world famous as a rolling celebration of Iowa that attracts participants from all 50 states and many foreign countries. The ride has covered thousands of miles through the years, but the hundreds of thousands of riders have never stopped in Lytton.
We, the undersigned, encourage the leaders of RAGBRAI to consider adding Lytton to the 2020 route so that local residents can show riders from around the world why Lytton has so much hometown pride.

The petition output has reached a level of engagement that forces the planning committee to acknowledge our request. I am drafting a formal presentation package for the RAGBRAI organizers to review this week.

Lytton is where I grew up and I will always have a special place in my heart for this sweet town it is the best
