Cyclocross is growing rapidly in popularity in the US and elsewhere. Meanwhile its core followers are passionate, bordering on rabidity. Obscure sports (curling) and spectator unfriendly events (luge) abide at the Olympics; let's bring in a sport that's growing in popularity and is a blast to watch! Here's the fun part: we'll add it to the WINTER Games. The Winter Olympics lately have been held in cities with temperate climates, but near mountains (e.g., Vancouver and, yes, 2014's Sochi, Russia). Think: 45 degrees, rain...MUD. Then think about Danish, Dutch, Belgian, French and Italian -- and American, Russian, Chinese and Australian fans standing elbow-to-elbow under the Olympic rings, beers and cowbells in hand, heckling in their native tongues...it's really the Olympic dream, isn't it? We'll figure out where actually to send this petition; for now, please sign it and send it on!

Cyclocross is an incredible sport of grace, timing, speed and power. If ever there was a sport to be inducted into the Olympics I can not think of a better one.
