Doug Davidson is a staple actor in Y&R who has played the role of Paul Williams starting out as a young man struggling to find himself and doing all the things that young men do and making all the mistakes they make to now as an older, wiser and more established man continuing to struggle with all the challenges that life places in his path. He's always given depth, heart and humor to this character. The practice of forcing out or eliminating well-established roles and the actors that inhabit those roles not only damaged the content, continuity and character of a program and angers the audience, but is grossly unfair to the actors who portray them. I hope that the powers that be @Y&E will reconsider as Doug Davidson certainly doesn't deserve this.

If he goes then you will lose long time n faithful viewers of Y&R. He didn’t just come on along like Billy n Adam that y’all were dumb enough to let them go but They are not crying in their milk though, are they but Paul/Doug has been on this show every since 4ever. Keep him on n give him a darn story line. There’s more than victor on the show

PLEASE offer Doug Davidson a contract!!!! You have LOYAL fans who will stop watching if you leave him as a non-contract player. The draw of your show, has always been, the original players integrated into new, modern storylines. That's what we look for. Paul, Lauren, Jill, Michael.....we're watching and anticipating that these characters be given their storylines back. If you let Doug walk away, know that longtime, veteran fans such as myself will lose our faith in your dedication to this show and will follow these actors and actresses somewhere else.
