Due to the outbreak of Covid-19 and Movement Control Order in Malaysia, current decision for Field Experience Course conducted for Marine Biotechnology students in 2020/04 semester is to complete the laboratory reports without conducting true field works to obtain the in situ data. This is devastating to students as we are given pre-existing data to complete the laboratory reports within limited time. The data is not obtained by the students, but rather given. This is in contradiction to the spirit of science, in which we, as future scientists, should be exposed to the wonders, to explore and discover our own answers towards the several questions. This petition hopes to delay the course, waits for the return of our fellow international friends and brings about physical true real on-site field studies. Help us, join us, and together we can save the future of science. #letsdelayfieldexperience #ldfe

You don't call it "Field Experience" if you only sit on your ass looking at a screen. Hey, wanna write another report for your uni final year project? No? Yea neither do I wanna write a report for something I did last time.

This course is few of the courses that allow us to gain experience on hands-on skill.
