I am starting this petition, because sometimes I wondered why Jawahar Lal Nehru's birthday is celebrated a children's day. I can't help, but think, that apart from being a politician, what was so special about him. Yes, he was the first prime minister of India. But that's about it. No more no less.
Since the passing of our dear People's President, Shri APJ Abdul Kalam, I wanted to float an idea, of celebrating the Children's day on 15th October. Just wanted to know, how many of you think likewise. Enough of Nehru-Gandhi dynasty where every road, university , airport etc are name after them.

Please change children's day from Nov 14to Oct 15as kalam is more near to us than Nehru ...there will be many in my generation who will even nor heard of Nehru ...and kalam can be an inspiration for young guns to be motivated !!

About time we moved on from the old days. Kalam sir is a real hero for all of us and he actually cared about students. Should have happened long ago.
