The North Herts MS Society received the email below from Oliver Heald QC MP regarding a passenger lift being built at Letchworth Garden City Station. PLEASE COULD YOU ALL SIGN THIS PETITION TO SUPPORT THIS CAUSE TO MAKE TRANSPORT FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY MS OR OTHER ILLNESSES AND DISABILITIES IN OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY A BIT EASIER? With thanks, Cheryl James. North Herts MS Society. As you may know, I have been pressing Network Rail for several years now to have passenger lifts built at Letchworth Garden City Station. I would be grateful to know whether the Multiple Sclerosis Society would add its support to my campaign on behalf of any of its members who use Letchworth Garden City Station, perhaps even preparing a petition, pressing for the lifts to be built as soon as possible? I have been able to secure the funding for the project, but am concerned that completion of the works is continually being deferred. I feel it is vitally important that Network Rail adhere to their stated 2014 deadline and want to be able to add weight to my campaign with help from organisations with local members. I look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes Oliver Heald QC MP Member of Parliament for North East Hertfordshire and Solicitor General for England and Wales
