Six year old Shay Davies-Kirkham has Autism; he doesn’t understand the dangers of running into the street or talking to strangers.
This fence and gate not only protects him from these dangers, but also from a very busy road and bus route.
The reason for having a fence and gate put up, is due to a shared pathway between my self and my neighbour. Which means Shay would not have the free play of his own back garden.
Due to a very unapproachable, abrupt neighbour who wants the fence and gate removed because she is simply too lazy to open and close two gates, means I cannot get permission to keep them. Please help me fight for the right to keep my child safe.
I need people to help me fight. Let us have the fence and gate, to let Shay have the ability to be outside to play. He deserves the right to have fun, as does every other child!
The sheer number of people backing this fight proves that no one with a shred of decency thinks my neighbor should be allowed to put my child in danger just for her own lazy convenience. This momentum is exactly what I needed to keep pushing back against this selfish pettiness. We are not backing down until the fence stays.

Keeping a child safe is way more important than someone being lazy. Shame on that neighbor.

This is rediculous. Since when is a slightly inconvenient gate more important than a childs safety? Leave the fence up so he can play without being in danger.

Absolute madness. Some people have zero heart. Hope you get to keep it for Shay.

Common sense has gone out the window. If the fence keeps him safe keep it! What is wrong with people these days.

Let them keep the gate. Not worth the risk of a kid running into traffic.

Are you kidding me? Because they are too lazy to open a gate? Keep the fence. Safety comes first end of story.
