As a healthcare worker that has worked the front line this entire pandemic it is time to take precautions into place and open up the schools. Our kids will gain nothing from hiding behind their computers and it is our right, each families right, to decide!

My daughter is going into 4th grade at Towslee and I work 55 hours a week, I don't have time to home school and have little to no help at home. I have to work. I need her in school and she's old enough to know to wash her hands, sanitize, and wear her mask without messaging with it.

Online education was a horrific failure in the fall. Absolutely zero learning happened during that 4th quarter. And now we want to repeat that? You can’t honestly tell me that 2 hours of teacher instruction online is equal to the “rigor” of face to face instruction. Our kids deserve better!

I want my kids in school. My house is not conducive to learning as I have some inside construction starting soon and I planned on my kids to be in school to keep the distraction to a minimum. Plus my youngest is on an IEP and in no way is going to be able to get all the help he needs through virtual learning.

Grandparents are caring for multiple toddler grandkids and aren’t able to help with online schooling. That’s the school’s job to have the kids in school so young children can get the right education that’s being taught. Parent works full time.

Some children need to be in school! My son has ADHD, and needs in be in a school environment! Online schooling does not work for him! Also I’m a single mother of two children and work full time! I really feel the school system is failing these children!! He was really looking forward to being in school!

My son was getting straight As before covid. Covid hits, he was confused on emails and and certain sites ended up 3 weeks behind in 2 subjects and he thought he was doing it right. By the time i was contacted he had 2 days to make it up. He didnt get 2 days worth finished let alone 3 weeks. My daughter has an IEP and had such a hard time until last year ...until covid hit and was she was back to square 1. Im notttt a teacher. Im ADD myself in the worst way. We have tried doing online stuff for countless hours. She gets frustrated and stares and cries and complains. They cannot do this to the kids. It is devastating. If it were so easy to just home school we would not have schools nor teachers period. If we could all learn the same way and just sit and stare at a computer we'd all have degrees. I am at a loss.
