Veterans park, located in Kenner, LA, used to be a great area for our children to play. Now, the playground is run down, the pond area is a mess, and the grounds are starting to get run down.
This is a great little park for walking as well as having ample area for a new and updated playground area.
Let's let our city council know they we notice how this park has been neglected and we want our park to look as nice as it is in the form of having the pond area spruced up, the grounds kept nicer, and the playground updated

I have been walking by the park every morning this week and seeing the same broken equipment that my own kids used to love. The messages I am receiving from neighbors about their own disappointment are fueling my resolve to reach out to the city council again this afternoon.

Seeing so many of you echo my frustration about the state of Veterans Park gives me hope that our kids might actually get a safe place to play again. Your stories remind me that we all deserve a clean, functional space in our own neighborhood.

I live very near to this park, I visited once with my toddler and was disappointed I couldn't let her play due to the obvious disrepair of playground equipment. Very unsafe should at least be torn down. I drive to Metairie for a park, but would love to be able to use my community park.
Kenner needs a major lift in many areas for us to get more millennials to live here, the parks are key to raising a family. If the council wants mellennials, we need to focus on what stage of life that age group is really getting into - family life
Most parks in Kenner are rundown. Officials boast about "Most Playful City" but honestly, I wouldn't bring my kids to any of the parks in Kenner. The only one with a decent play structure is Kenner City Park but beyond that, there is no place for the kids to run around. I used to walk the track everyday until the nutria started walking right up to me.
They need to fix the park, update, and fix the streets. Kenner is behind on priority.
Don't close our playground !!!!I pay taxes that's for my children's and for a lot other families too......
Also seton park the grass is always long, needs to be cut more often!!

Try to save some of the next generation! So far the path we are leaving is a rocky road of disaster! Let them at least be kids while they are!
