The war was just, it was not fought over slavery, and the South had the legal right to secede. The war was Lincoln's War, fought to preserve the Northern state dominance over the Southern states economically. The principles were the same then as now, sovereignty, freedom and states rights.

Leave our history alone. Go destroy Martin Luther Kings Memorial. Or how about Obama's?? Things that happenes 100 years ago have nothing to do with today or our Heritage. You have NEVER been a Slave and I have NEVER owned a Slave. Quit riding on the skirt tales of things that happened long ago. It's really getting so old. Just STOP.
