Dear State Of Israel, Ministry Of Interior, Lawmakers, Politicians,

I would like to raise attention to what I feel is a serious injustice in your legal system, my story as follows:

I moved here in 2006 to follow my heart with an Israeli resident, I am American and non-Jewish. We continued for 8 years in which time I worked(work), pay my taxes, am not nor have been a menace to the society, am supportive and love this country. This past December my relationship ended, mutually and with both parties left as very good friends.. Move forward to today... I go to the Mitzrad Hapnim to let them know about the relationship ending only to be told by the clerk "You must leave", as in, this country..

Apparently the fact that I have built and made a life here for the last 8 years is of no relevance. The bonds, friendships, memories and sacrifices have no meaning... My reasons for wanting to stay are not "humanitarian" enough to be granted the pleasure of living in your country. I find it very inhumane that because love was lost, I need to give up and lose everything else in a great life I have made for myself here...

I do not want to leave Israel, even after the stinging slap to my face was met so graciously from the Ministry worker. I love living here, working here, and supporting this country. I ask that it please not be taken away from me.

Let me stay in Israel!!

I am truly overwhelmed by the messages you have sent me while I try to navigate the bureaucracy of the Ministry of Interior. This has become much larger than I ever imagined and I am just so grateful that you decided to pay attention to my situation.

I am honestly overwhelmed by the kindness people are showing me right now. This momentum belongs entirely to all of you who have chosen to take a moment out of your day to care about my life. I never imagined so many people would stand by me like this.

it's not right that a person who has lived in Israel for so many years, would suddenly not have a way to continue their stay. Just makes no sense. I support Misty

Misty is a really close friend of mine now for many years. She has worked very hard to establish a career and further her education in your country. Misty is doing extremely well for herself there and I do not believe that if someone is trying to better themselves especially through higher learning and education in a country that they truly love and respect that anybody could have the right or determination to deny anyone of these opportunities

One should not have to be in a relationship with someone who is native to the country in order to stay. She has every right to live there.
