This is not an official petition as of yet. If we get declined AGAIN by the Alberta government to sell Alberta fishing and Hunting license's we are going to push it forward. We applied once and at the point we were told they were not setting anyone up it was going to be online, Canadian tire, & Walmart ONLY. Since that time the Alberta Government has setup Cabela's to sell license's. When I called them about it there reply was "We have different rules for corporate than for independent stores" If this is the case doesn't this seem a little one sided?? They are forcing you to go there to buy your license and not even giving us the option to sell them to you. Please forward and sign this if you agree with the following -Government shouldn't dictate who can and can't sell the same fishing / hunting license's -If you don't support government only catering to Corporate giants and completely ignoring the "small guys" -If you think it should be your choice not there's

I honestly cannot believe how many people are actually looking at this because when I started typing I figured it would just vanish into the internet void. It feels like people are finally noticing that the corporate versus small business gap is just getting wider and wider and that is exactly why I started this whole thing in the first place.

Total joke. I prefer supporting my local shop but they make it impossible. Stop bowing to the big box stores and let the locals compete.
Let us choose where we spend our money. Stop the corporate greed.

Ridiculous that cabelas gets special treatment. small businesses are the backbone of alberta and they deserve a fair shot.
