Let Everyman Baby Club show 15-rated films again in Bristol

I cannot understand the motivation to make the restriction of 12a rated films for parents with small babies in a sound minimised showing. The rating in my opinion should be for the adult attending and this is a valuable activity for carers with young babies

As a parent of young children it's incredibly difficult to get an opportunity to go to the cinema these days. I was looking forward to enjoying this again for a short period during maternity leave. This rule seems completely unnecessary as babies, who are most of the time going to be under 6 months old will be spending the whole time feeding and sleeping and are not able to understand the content of a movie.

My wife is due shortly and is so upset about this, after our first the showings were a haven for her. So disappointed in BCC, first the Watershed and then this, if one person doesn’t feel comfortable just don’t go!

It’s so upsetting that one complaint can get a safe and fun space for mothers - who are so vulnerable to loneliness and isolation - basically shut. We already get so much judgement, and having a space to feel like a grown up and enjoy ourselves is vital for our wellbeing. Our babies mostly sleep and feed during the movies anyway and don’t know what they’re watching. Please don’t take this space away from us, let mums have this!

As a new mum, the baby screenings are a rare moment that I can enjoy something for myself! It's ridiculous to limit the certification and punishes mothers.

Why on earth are BCC weighing into this. Keep your eyes on the prize and focus on what really matters. Don’t give ppl the impression that BCC will reach into ppls lives to this extent. Reverse this big brother decision for the sake of new parents in bristol

I was really disappointed in the selection of films available to watch while I was on maternity leave! Mums are more than able to decide what their babies can watch (or, let’s be honest, sleep through)

It’s absolutely ridiculous - parents should be able to decide for themselves. The baby cinema is a real source of comfort for new mothers and they should be able to access the films that they choose to.
