Really disappointing. Parents spend plenty of time engaged in baby classes, activities and chats, a little bit of adult entertainment in the early days can't hurt and can be decided by the parents. Likewise with attending day time comedy and watching TV at home.

Totally ridiculous notion. If parents are concerned, just don’t go. These screenings are invaluable respite for parents trying to maintain any shred of their pre baby life. It a wonderful bonding and independent activity for mums on their own, or a chance to see a film with a partner without the expense of a babysitter. The films are not for the babies! They are for us!

As a Bristol parent who enjoyed baby cinema during their postnatal journey, i wholeheartedly endorse freedom of choice for parents of babes in arms who want to relax and feel like an individual again for a mere 90 minutes by watching an age appropriate film. BCC shouldn’t be in the business of nannying parents.

There are plenty of other cinemas who offer baby cinema with children's films, but what parents of young babies need is a space for THEM, with films that are aimed at parents, not the children who are too young to watch anyway!

Considering babies can't actually see features, let the poor parents have something to keep them a little more sane and talk about something non baby related with their child free friends!

Ridiculous to ban it over 1 churlish complaint

Utterly ridiculous that one complaint can ruin it for everyone. This is a case of discrimination by BCC against a majority.

Babies have no comprehension of films' content. Were you to restrict any type of film, it should be those with loud bass noise that vibrates through the auditorium.

Ridiculous decision by Everyman to react to this complaint in the way they have. Baby cinema was my one chance to do a normal adult thing when I was on mat leave!

Which pencil pusher signed off on the ban? Seems like bureaucracy for the sake of it, or someone has a grudge against parents getting out.
