Disco Days has been life-changing for me, an event that has reinvigorated my social life and brought joy to many others in our community. It's more than just a daytime disco; it's an opportunity for the over 30s crowd in Dundee to come together, create memories, and boost our local economy. However, recent disparaging remarks from Allan Crow, editor at the Fife Free Press, have cast a shadow over the amazing event.

We believe that if Mr. Crow were to experience firsthand the joy and camaraderie of Disco Days as a guest DJ on 27th April, he might see its value differently. Daytime discos like these not only provide entertainment but also contribute significantly to local economies across the UK.

According to UK Music’s annual Music By Numbers report (2019), music tourism alone contributed £4.7 billion spend into the UK economy and supported 45k jobs nationwide in 2018. While we don't have exact figures for daytime discos specifically, they are part of this larger picture.

By inviting Allan Crow to participate directly in our next event, we hope he will gain a new perspective on its importance both socially and economically.
