As students at Woods Cross High, we recognize the benefits of extra time for classes. However, the flex system in place at WX takes away too much time from classes and lunch, and is not used effectively by the majority of students. Modeling Bountiful High or Viewmont would allow students to still have extra time in necessary classes, while giving students more time for lunch. While more time for lunch may sound trivial, it's actually incredibly important. The current lunch time of half an hour is too short, creating dangerous driving conditions and late students as they rush to get to and from off campus sites. Sign this petition if you agree! Or have flex right before lunch, so students can be excused for lunch, if they don't need to use flex.

30 mins is barely enough time to eat let alone drive anywhere. I spend half my lunch waiting in the drive thru line and then I'm late to fifth period. We need longer lunch breaks.
Or have flex right before lunch, so students can be excused for lunch, if they don't need to use flex.
