Please help by signing the petition to Coventry City Council to make them take action into fixing the issues once and for all at their cemetery in Lentons Lane.

This cemetery should be a peaceful and tranquil place where people can visit their loved ones in their final resting place instead they are subjected to the annual flood due to insufficient drainage, poor maintenance and bad management.

Loosing a loved one is distressing enough without the fact that you are expected to lay them to rest in these conditions, furthermore to that it appears that you will be subjected to this annually by the looks of it.

£2million pounds of our local money has been spent since 2014 yet the problem has not been remidied, flooding still continues and the ground is being ruined, it is that poor that people cannot or do not want to visit their family/friends graves as its not safe for them or it is too distressing to witness the conditions their loved ones are being laid to rest in by our local council

Coventry City Council need to fix this once and for all, they need to help ease the grief and not add to it.

Thank you for your support.

Reaching ten hundred signatures represents a clear consensus that the current state of Lenton's Lane is unacceptable. I am asking each of you to reach out to one person who values the sanctity of our local burial grounds to help us cross this threshold today.

It is an utter disgrace what is happening. I approached the Coventry evening telegraph with the same issue January 2015. I was advised by Coventry bereavement services, not to worry it would be dealt with. We as a family, are still waiting.

It's painful enough losing a loved one, but having such poorly maintained grounds is disrespectful to those who rest there. People pay hundreds/thousands of pounds of hard earned money for final resting places... This was shocking to see!

Yes there has been a lot of rain but any attempts at an effective drainage system have failed badly. Graves have flooded during the burial ceremony, and now many grave sites are under. Some footpaths are flooded and I know of people who have slipped over in the mud.
