We, the undersigned, wish to express our deepest concern with respect to proposed changes that will affect the Wider Opportunities Junior Band and other Leicestershire Arts Music Groups and our extreme disappointment that there has been no mechanism for consultation with us. We consider that music can play a powerfully significant part in a child's development which will affect their outlook and behaviour for the rest of their lives. This also will have a most beneficial affect on the wider community. We request that details of proposed changes be made known to us and an opportunity to contribute our views be given and reconsideration given to these plans for the welfare of our children.
