The piano lessons that occur at St.Pat's school are in danger of being cancelled. At this time, many parents are unaware of the possibility of the program being cancelled and we would all like to be made aware of the thought process behind the cancellation of such a wonderful program that is available in our school.
Studies have proven a strong correlation between music and academic success. Music directly enhances learning through increased spatial development.
Right now, these piano lessons are made available through the Arts Enrichment Program. We, the parents of current piano students, and the parents who would like to get the chance to enroll their child(ren), would like to see the program remain in the school.

St.Pats needs to consider enhancing the arts & music programming not cancelling. There are currently very few opportunities within the school to explore music. The availability of piano lessons is a strength to be promoted.
