Légalise cannabis in Mauritius

- Gandia must immediately be made available as a medicine free. I militate for our law makers and the judiciary to abide by and respect Constitutional provisions with regard to Article 5.1 – Protection of Right to Personal Liberty of Chapter 2 - Protection of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms of the Individual as specified in our Constitution, which is the Supreme Law of our Democratic Republic. I know that the time has come to eliminate gandia prohibition laws, and set up an appropritaregulatory system that allows for reasonable and responsible gandia consumption in terms of the Declaration of Independence.
What is cannabis/ganja/marijuana/hemp?Gandia is simply a plant created by the Father Of Creation for the purpose of humanity.A plant that has been used for more than 5000 years, as a medicine. This plant is still used in many countries, in religious ceremonies, as a medicine but also as the plant for a better future. Le gandia n'est pas un danger pour la société non plus. Il faut que l'on revienne à cette époque quand on a confirmé que le gandia avait avait des pouvoirs guérisseurs.
These are the reasons why it should be relegalize:
1. Gandia has never killed anyone.Alcohol and tobacco killed many people per year, but is still legal.
Vasodilatatrices : glaucome, migraines. Antalgiques :névralgies. Anxiolytiques : maladies psychiatriques. Antidépresseur. Anti-inflammatoires.
3. This has been scientifically proved. So, stop playing with the lives of people, if a natural cure exist.
4.The war on gandia costs money to the nation. People are put in prison, because they have use a plant.
5. ReLegalized gandia would reduce the flow of money from our economy to criminal gangs, as the money received from the selling of this plant by gangs, are used to important dangerous drugs on our island, and provide them in everything they need..
6. Crime rates in countries where gandia is legal are significantly getting lower.
7.Cannabinoids in cannabisoccur naturally in human breast milk according to the latest findings. The human body contains cannabinoid receptors that are specifically designed to process cannabinoids such as tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), one of the primary active components of cannabis. According to the findings of several major scientific studies, human breast milk naturally contains the same cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant, which are vital for proper human development. Cell membranes in the body are naturally equipped with these cannabinoid receptors which, when activated by cannabinoids and various other nutritive substances, protect cells against viruses, harmful bacteria, cancer, and other malignancies. And human breast milk is anabundant source of endocannabinoids, a specific type of neuromodulatory lipid that basically teaches a newborn child how to eat by stimulating the suckling process.
8. Cannabis could also be used to to Hemp milk, flour, tofu, cooking oil, butter and much more food.
9. The cannabis is also the main component of what is called hempcrete, a revolutionary construction material, better than concrete. Hempcrete gets harder over time and is a very solid material.
10.Cannabis could also be used to produce bio-plastic and composite materials. The production of paper uses 10 times less cannabis plant than tree for its production, thus being a better alternative to the production of paper, and saving our planet from deforestation, as a tree contains only 25% cellulose, which is the component to manufacture paper, compared to hemp which has 85%.A tree takes 80 years to mature, compares to hemp which takes only 4 months.
11.Cannabis is also known as a "mop crop", to clear impurities out of wastewater, soil and air.
12. Cannabis could also create employment on our island. Cannabis has many uses, other than smoking and it'salso use incosmetic products.
13.The plantation of cannabis wouldprovide employments to many people. The cannabis fiber, is known as one of the most resistant fiber in the world, which is also anti-bacterial and UV protected. This could be use by the textile industry, thus giving a push up to our industry in Mauritius.
14. Cannabis has much more uses and benefits for us. So why not relegalize it?
How could it work?
1. Each people could plant a maximum of X plants, and must pay a tax if the number is bigger.
2. Only the government may release a license for the right to sell cannabis in specialised shops.
3. The government may release special licences to planters to cultivate cannabis for economic reasons, thus selling the harvested product to the government or other companies to produce fiber, bio-fuel, oil and much more products.
4. Police will have more time to work on serious matters than little planters and consumers, thus making the government save money.
For a better economy, healthy people and island, relegalize cannabis.
