We had enough of South African goverment making there own decisions regarding our democratic right to purchase cigarettes and alcohol legal. The government has forced smokers and drinkers to buy from the ungerground black market and everyday the prices goes up the longer it stays illegal to purchase from shops, cartons that was R150 and R330 are now being sold for R1400 to R2000 per carton, alcohol that was R120 are now R450 per bottle. This is also causing domestic violence as people have cravings and anger and frustration sets in. It is also a negative affect on the poorer community that needs to pay R1000 to R1400 for cigarettes and this is from there only grant money even and no food as the addiction is to serious that government legally sold to everyone. It is a addiction and no one can say just stop. Its mental and fiscal drain to the body and this also lets people use cheaper drugs now and the underground market is growing stronger with revenues as the goverment does not get any income or taxes from these illegal sales. We demand and it our democratic right to buy sigarettes legal. Even our own minister Zuma has a son that owns a cigarette manufacturing company thatnis freely available on the black market. We need the full investigation and bank statements of all these parties involved and associated with the business. We will have a public national march on 18 May 2020 from 6:00 to 9:00 to demand the legal sales.
