Premiership footballer Lee Hughes was jailed for six years in 2004 for causing death by dangerous driving. The then 28-year-old West Bromwich Albion striker had denied causing the death of father-of-four Douglas Graham in Meriden, near Coventry, in November of 2003. Mr Graham, 56, died after Hughes' £100,000 Mercedes car ploughed into the Renault in which he was a passenger. Lee Hughes fled the scene of the accident whilst the passengers in the other car were trapped, badly injured and in dire need of help. Lee Hughes looks set to leave prison this August after completing less than half of his sentance. Oldham Athletic are set to give him a full contract upon release. This petition is a protest by real football fans from all clubs who believe that Lee Hughes is unfit to be a sporting role model and that he should banned for life from the football league

Oldham Athletic is ignoring our concerns but we are not going away. Call the club office today to demand they rescind this contract offer. Post this link on your Facebook wall so more fans understand exactly who they are welcoming back to the pitch.

The momentum we have built proves that football fans will not stay silent about who is allowed on the pitch. Take this energy directly to the Oldham Athletic front office by calling their main contact line today.

Total joke. If any normal person did that they would be blacklisted for life. Footballers get away with murder literally.

He killed a man and ran away. Coward. Should never touch a ball professionally again.

Think of the poor family. Oldham should be ashamed of themselves for offering a contract.

Disgusting behavior. No way he stays a role model for kids. Get him out of the league.
