My mother graduated WCHS in 1946. I graduated from there 1970. Two of my graduated from WHS. Please keep the name the same. Don't take away a part of my families heritage.

Dear Board,
This is a terrible idea and you will be throwing out a tradition for many in this community. As a business professional I must say there is a major lack of professionalism here. It is not the board's decision. They represent the community; furthermore, they should have consulted all people who have ties to Walker High. The board is simply trying to remove Walker High School from the label Walker County has received over the past several years. Ultimately, this is a huge waste of money and resources.
Is this what we should expect from ya'll in the years to come? Can you guys not think of anything better to focus your time and attention to?

If shame of the county-name association is the reason for the change....CHANGE THE COUNTY/make it less embarrassing!

Class of 1965. I do not approve of the name change. Many school name don't reflect the city where they are located. The change would be confusing and is unnecessary.
