There is no reason to change the name, but there will be additional costs for uniforms, etc. What about the class rings already purchased?

There is a long tradition and much pride in the name Walker High School. To change the school's name is capricious and will damage the pride of the student body. Three generations of my family have graduated from Walker. To continue with this name change in the face of so much opposition would be egregious.
