Just leave the name and mascot along. It has been Walker High School for many years with the mascot being the Vikings. I want it to continue being Walker High School so my kids can keep the tradition.

I did not attend Walker High School and don't know if my signature will count or not. But I feel this is very unfair to the alumni and the future graduates who want to graduate from Walker High School. What is the reason for changing the name? Why can it not be Walker High School even with the new school? There's no reason to change it. Leave the history and traditions of Walker High School alone and intact.

One of the poorest decisions I have heard in a while. And for what purpose? What could POSSIBLE be the benefits of this.
Jerseys, band uniforms, letter jackets, class rings. And the total WALKER High School BRAND all trash now.
Would love the see the official vote record in the board meeting to see who was in favor of this garbage!

Can you not do one thing right. Who 's dumb idea was it in the first place? Don't change all the people who grad. there memories. No matter what you name it, it will always be Walker High School to all who went there.

I graduated Walker this past May. Walker High School has been a part of the Jasper Community for 100 years. The name has been Walker County High School and then Walker High School. For the sake of generations past and generations future, keep Walker high school WALKER!
Here's to thee out dear old high school, WALKER here's too you!!!

My dad is a WHS alumni, I am a WHS alumni. And I have two children that I intended to also be WHS alumni... I'm very disappointed that the citizens of this town were not given a say-so in this or even their opinions acknowledged.
